A Brief History of Precision
Note: This website is under construction.
Jacek Laskowski and Eugene Czech started their first sheet metal fabrication business in the early 1980s in Johannesburg, South Africa. As recent Polish migrants to the country, they opened shop with a single fly press machine and worked around their day jobs as precision machinists until they could take the venture full-time.
Precision Electronics Enclosures grew and later manufactured mainly 19" electronic rack cabinets leading to its acquisition in the late '90s by Modrac, a division of Datatec Ltd. In 2002, each having moved to Melbourne, Australia, Jacek and Eugene rented a premises in Bayswater North and started again. They ran the business till August 2026 at which point it was bought out by Mohammed Imran, who was design engineer at Precision. Imran and Jacek continue to work side by side till this day. Eugene has semi-retired and helps at Precision whenever required.
